21.5–22 cm Adult Large shortish, thick broad-based bill, broad yellow eyering, prominent yellow ear-patch. VOICE Loud, rather deep chit’it or chut’ut. HABITAT Broadleaved evergreen forest, forest edge, secondary growth; up to 610 m. RANGE Fc/co R W(south),S Thailand, Pen Malaysia; formerly Singapore.
